Christmas Part 3!

This is the 3rd Hunkydory Christmas kit I've made samples for and it launched on Create and Craft TV on Friday so I can now share the pictures of what I made.
This kit is printed on foiled card so it is very shiny and festive (but not always easy to photograph!) There was also foiled acetate to go with the kit and one of our design brief challenges was to make a sample where the acetate was the main element, I had to think hard about this one but hope that my acetate basket place setting for the Christmas Dinner table fitted the bill.

Not sure what our next kit will be but as I'm busy over the next few weeks (son's 18th birthday then 2 weeks holiday!) I probably won't be doing any more until the nearly the middle of August and as my 6 months finishes at the end of August I may only have 1 or 2 more kits to do for Hunkydory which will be sad as I've really enjoyed doing them all (even the ones that challenged me)

Christmas catch-up!

Just realised I've not posted on here for a while! I've had a busy time making samples as well as orders for customers (and we had a minor technology failure in June which meant the laptop had to go to be sorted!)
Most of the samples I have been making for Hunkydory crafts have been Christmas ones (yes we know it's only July but us crafters have to be organised) There was a very large Christmas Blockbuster of toppers and matching cardstock in 4 different styles and then there was a 3D decoupage kit (my favourite technique) there is another kit that is absolutely gorgeous but that doesn't launch until tomorrow so I will wait to share those photos next time.
My craft room has also been progressing rather well (just final fix for electricity to go, then paint charts and carpet/lino samples and a trip to Ikea!) so I'm getting excited about having a space where I can craft without having to clear boxes off my desk/chair before I can start then put them all away again before we go to bed (presently my craft space is a corner of our bedroom)
Hope you're ready for an overload of Festive photographs 🎄🎅
Round 1!!

And round 2!

Busy Crafting

I've had 2 different sets of samples to make over the last 3 weeks so the dining table has looked like an explosion in the warehouse of Hunkydory Crafts!
The first set are launching on Create & Craft TV this Tuesday  so keep any eye out for me sharing my photos, this kit is very pretty and feminine and wonderful to work with.
The second set which took most of my time (24 different cards/projects!) are launching sometime in June as always I can't give too much away but all I will say is that they're for a very festive season 😉
As I was looking back at the notebook I use to jot down ideas before the kits arrive I realised I am over halfway through my 6 month stint as a sample maker, which is slightly sad as I have had such fun working with the kits .

My Craft Room!!

No Design Team work at the moment but definite progress with my craft space. At the moment I have a desk in the corner of our bedroom with some shelves next to it for my cardmaking/papercrafting but I also have craft stuff that has no place to live so is in boxes on my desk and chair that I have to move every time I want to work (Hubby would probably say I've too much craft stuff but on that we agree to disagree!) my sewing stuff is in various places around the house, crochet bag next to the sofa (with yarn stored in any nook/cranny) during craft fair season I also have bags with my stall stuff usually dumped in the dining room. We needed a new shed for lawnmower/bikes/other stuff and decided to 'go large' so 'Hubby's Shed' could be combined with the bikes etc. which would free up his old shed for me 😀
This was our starting point 😨
The new shed was in place and after Hubby had put in some insulation, we were ready to begin.
A skip arrived just before the 4 day Easter weekend and Hubby set about filling it with what he decided was junk (I'm too much of a hoarder to do this part so stayed out of the way apart from taking out cups of tea) We had a trip to Ikea to buy new shelving (and meatballs!) and he put all the useful stuff in his new shed. I now had a better idea of the space I would have. (the lawnmower has gone to it's new home and the spare door has a home to go to, freezer will be replaced with a smaller one)
The damp course is being redone today (which given the weather could be fun!) and we have a builder coming to give us an idea on how much our savings will be reduced by! I'll post more photos as progress is being made but hopefully soon I will have a lovely bright craft room to spread out in 😄

Floral Wishes

This wonderful Kit launched on Create and Craft TV on Friday but as we were away visiting our daughter this weekend I recorded all the shows and sat binge-watching today (thankfully it's the Easter holidays so no Lollipop Lady duties to interrupt my viewing!) so just a little bit late here are my samples, I saw a few of mine on the TV programmes but I think the whole Design Team loved this kit judging from the photos they were putting up on the Design Team Facebook page (and the kit sold out fairly quickly so it looks like the audience liked it too!)
